Wire Basket Table

I spotted this beautiful wire basket table at Only Deco Love a while ago and just cannot stop thinking about it! this would make the most perfect coffe table since they are available in different sizes. It's no secret that I'm obsessed with the nordic interior style (check out my pinterest board) and absolutely love every single piece on the Ferm Living website. If I didn't save up my money for the upcoming Cali roadtrip - so excited - I would have ordered the black basket in size L by now.

it's been a while, huh?! this is my first post in 2014 and yes i actually do know that the first month's already pass...
i've been busy being sick and working my not-so-big-anymore butt off. when i was forced to stay at home because of some badass fever, i had this crazy idea of becoming a pillow designer. i know, i know sounds like i had quite some feverish dreams ;) seriously though, i would love to print my ideas on fabric! obviously, everyone owns at least two pillows (one for the bed, one for the couch? ;)) so why not posh them up a bit?
of course i did some research and i know there are already online shops which sell the exactly same idea but it's pretty hard to find one with a ".ch" (switzerland) address. most of the time i would pay horrifying costoms dues when ordering online - i'm sure my swiss friends know what i'm talking about!

anyway, i found this reeeeeally cool online shop which is called society 6 and this is exactly how i would do it too (if i would realize this spontanious idea)! i truly love everything about it! they even have tote bags (i'm such a fan of those!!) and all kinda cases (mac, iphone, ipad..you know, all those electroic devices we can not live without anymore) - amazballs!! check out my favorite pillow case design here:

at this time, i'm all in for all kind of interior and decor stuff. i just feel like i missed out on my inner calling to become an interior architect ;) actually i'm impassioned with quite a lot things: social media, music, designing, decorating, organizing/planning, travelling, writing just to name a few. well, with being a clerk i obviously chose the wrong occupation to live it up, huh?!

enough of the rambling, this post is about walls. not just some kind of wall, but the walls in my room. white, plain walls (seen on my instagram). the reason why is simple: i am afraid of holes. okay now this post's getting weird in so many ways. strictly speaking, i don't like to fill up the holes in the walls when moving out or even just redecorating. hang up a picture, a shelve, whatever it is, it will damage the wall. but who would i be telling you all this crap if i hadn't a simply solution which works perfectly, at least for me. the ordinary way sometime is the better: i printed some of my favorite instagram photos i took on 120gr white paper, cut them in the typical 15x15 shape, added some double-sided tape (scotch does it too) and pressed it on the wall for 3 sec. voilà!

there is no better way than posting the picture of your selfmade instawall on instagram ;)

you may remember that i just moved into my very first apartment in june of this year (see the posts here). well, as i've unpacked and organized everything two weeks after moving in, i found it very pretty but nothing lasts forever ;) ever since, i've been constantly changing and rearranging things in my room until this week, when i finally decided on a complete change.
unfortunately, i'm not quite happy with the outcome. the room is about 20m2 and therefore not too small for all my stuff, but i just kinda couldn't work out a good interior design. i'm also missing something similar to a workingspace / home office. so where else to look for inspiration than on my fave pinboard website pinterest.com

welcome home

hi lovies,

i finally moved out of my parent’s house and in in my new apartment in berne. my unpaid helpers (speak: friends) did a great job! they helped me getting all my stuff in the 4th floor (!!) without an elevator. when we finished (in only 3 hours) i collapsed into bed. those were crazy but very exciting days and i'm so thankful for everyting right now.

today it's been a week and the first wifi-is-finally-working day and guess what, i still love it! the apartment is getting cozier and homey day by day and this is how it looked a few days ago (i already redecorated and moved some furniture):

things are getting crazy with the whole working, packing, taking care of my grandparents and the two little rowdies. i spent the last week only with working and sleeping and this weekend i've done some packing since next week is full of (business) meeting in the evenings and i really don't see any time frame for preparing the moving. on thursday we get the keys and for friday i planned on getting done with the packing in order to moving in on saturday. you see, there are just so many things to do but the excitement is way bigger than the stress ;)

i can't wait to actually show you where i'm going to live!

i'm a big friend of nature and love all kinds of flowers and plants. i'm planing on bringing some pieces of nature in ally's and my new home (no progress with the apartment hunting..) and that's why i was looking for some inspiration on my favorite website pinterest. i'm totally into those kinda ways to display the beauty of nature...

i love the color (is it a color or isn't it?) white. i'd love to furnish my room in the new apartment and maybe the living room as well (if ally's letting me..;)) all in white. it's simple yet elegant and the huge avantage: you're able to change the whole appearance by changing the decoration. that's why i love curtains, pillows, candles, vases, plants, flowers and all the other stuff which makes an apartment a cozy, comfortable, stylish home. i'm trying to figure out which color will dominate the concept..starting with the pillows..

how do you start deciding the color concept of your apartment? are you more the colored furnish type of guy?

i don't know how you feel about interior shopping but i definitely love it as much as i love shopping clothes. the problem? i can hang clothes in my closet and therefore buy almost as much as i want, but i can't buy 3 couches or thousand decorating stuff. at some point the apartment is simply too small and you clearly don't want to overload it. i like it clean and not too messy.
you get me right?
i already have all kinds of furniture at home (at my parent's), however, nothing really matches together. as i'm planning on moving out it's the perfect occasion to tidy out. i can't wait for the new start and of course for the shopping ;)

so i'm on the mend and out of bed. how are you doing? 
the best news these days is that ally's back from her vacation and we're going meeting up tomorrow. of course i want to know everything that happened in this two weeks AND we're going to talk about the apartment hunting - yaaayyy! well i actually hope it's not only about talking about it but deciding on some dates to view some apartments. 
anyways, there's not so much going on right now in my life that's why i spend about 3 hours a day on pinterest. now you think "whaaaaaat?" but seriousely have you been on pinterest? it's incredible! on this page is everything pictured you could possibly need (or not) in your life! i found some great inspiration on decorating and am planning to include a gallery wall in the entry. ally doesn't know about that yet but i'm pretty sure she'll like it;) what do you think of these black and white sayings & pictures below? imagine them in black frames on a white wall.
