catching up

it's been a while...
still busy even on the weekends ;) but this time i've got some pics to share. sandy (who i met in california) and i met in zurich the previous weekend to catch up. we had a late lunch which was delicious by the way. i just can't get enough of italian food!! they know the good stuff in life, right?! 

we had a wonderful afternoon and i can't tell you how much i miss those beautiful, fun, memorable cali days with my girls! they really made this whole experience so much better than it already was! wish i could hang out with them allll the time!

those weeks are flying by like a rocket! can't believe it's already mid-may!! well, that might be because the weather totally sucks and you wouldn't assume that summer's so close..
anyways, my friend nae and i got up early on friday and drove down to beautiful montreux. it was only a one hour drive which really took me by surprise. how does it come that i haven't been there before especially when it's so close!?! i'll definitely be back sometime this year!! so those are the many many pics we took at the promenade bordered with flowers. Unfortunately, it was pretty couldy and foggy that day, so please excuse the missing sun in the photos..at least we've got palm trees ;)

remember when i posted this dressing room selfie on instagram? i wasn't satisfied at all with the look! okay, that's an understatement, i felt totally depressed since i 1) almost didn't get in (size m!!) and 2) felt like i was wearing my onesie pj which was not what i was going for....

however, when i spotted this jumpsuit at h&m only a couple of days later i had to try it on! there was only one size left, which is why i kinda look like sporty spice of the spice girls ;) i love it though! i'm totally going to pack this for barcelona.

i'm very much into silky blouses at the time and there's a good reason for that: they are awesome!!! :) seriousely, they just go with everything! wear them with a skirt, shorts or pants and you'll look classy yet not too polished.

i'm sure every girl will know exactly what i'm talking about when i say that just spend 3 hours literally in my closed and in front of the mirror. first i only couldn't decide on what i'm going to wear today but then it kinda got out of control and i ended up clearing out my wardrobe... i took some snapshots of two pieces i didn't wear in a while:

i thought of different outfits for the christmas dinner with my family and came to the conclusion that a rather conservative outfit would be most appropriate since my grandparents are going to be there as well. i usually love simple black pants combined with a silky blouse for family events, however, christmas happens to be a special occasion for something dressier. that's why i think this combo will do it best:
