We booked
the Yosemite National Park tour the night before and had to get up at 5.15am
that day. A little bit sleepy but excited we got on the tour bus where Nick our
guide greeted us with an even sleepier face. We were pretty frustrated when we
found out that we spent 1 hour in the bus picking up all the other people and
the last couple actually stay at a hotel which was only a few minutes away from
our hostel. We could have selected that pick up location as well and sleep
about an hour longer! C’est la vie…I guess.
We arrived
at Yosemite at around 11am and meanwhile Nick was wide awake telling us all
about the park. We got to see some pretty cool things e.g. the giant sequoia
trees which can get more than 3’000 years old and El Capitan, the largest exposed
granite monolith in the world.
On the way
back we made a little stop to enjoy view of the skyline and the sun setting
behind it. What a great way to end that amazing day.
